We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in workers' compensation, whether from an employer or insurer background, to become a valuable member of our **Mercer Marsh Benefits** team in either **QLD or Victoria**. This hybrid position will be located either in **Brisbane or Melbourne**, offering the flexibility to work from home while ideally spending at least three days a week in our office in the CBD.
In this position, you will collaborate with **Mercer Marsh Benefits** employer clients, their insurers, and injured workers, using software systems to manage claims on behalf of our clients. You will also offer consulting advice and services, providing professional outsourced return-to-work and claims consulting solutions to our employer clients.
The role is within the Workers Compensation consulting and injury management field, offering substantial opportunities for on-the-job development and career advancement.
**We will count on you for**:
**Client Service**
- Develop a deep understanding of our client’s business and industry, to provide solutions to their workers’ compensation and people risk management needs.
- Complete claim reviews and measure employer workers’ compensation performance.
- Ensure clients have access to all that Mercer Marsh Benefits has to offer.
- Perform Injury Management and Return to Work Coordinator functions for our employer clients as required.
**Project Management**
- Develop, manage, promote and facilitate the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with Mercer Marsh Benefits SOPs.
- Comply with company policy and procedures for timekeeping, expense reporting and billing.
**Business Development**
- Actively develop and generate new and expanded business opportunities.
**Colleague Development**
- Support line manager and other colleagues in mentoring other consultants as required.
**What we are looking for**:
- 2 years + experience in a role involved in managing workers’ compensation claims and/or insurance.
- Someone with tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, this is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation and current issues in the workers’ compensation environment.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
