**Who we are**

**The Job**
The duties will include but not limited to the following:

- Lead the UX and content design processes for various web products, ensuring they are user-centric and meet stakeholder requirements.
- Collaborate with content owners and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective web content and solutions.
- Conduct user testing activities, including card sorting and tree testing, to gather insights and improve the usability of web products.
- Develop and design content for the departmental intranet and the Instructional Material Library to ensure consistency in tone of voice, adhering to government style guides and readability standards.
- Work closely with team leaders across the Web Systems Section to maintain and enhance the department's web-based systems and products.
- Provide training and support to staff on using web systems and creating effective web content.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in UX and content design to continually improve the department's digital presence.
- Participate in regular team meetings, contributing ideas and updates on project progress.
- Manage your contribution to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.

**What are we looking for**

- Strong understanding of user-centred design methodologies and UX research techniques.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement to effectively deliver user centred improvements to web products from concept to final publishing.
- Experience using content management systems to publish web content.
- Knowledge of the Australian Government Digital Experience Policy.
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation best practices and web analytics tool.
