Government Agency seeks a Procurement Specialist to join their team at a great rate of pay (Sydney CBD)

**Your new company**

This Government Agency requires a Procurement Specialist to join their team for a 3 - 6 month assignment, at a great rate of pay. This job is located in Sydney CBD and offers hybrid working flexibility.

**Your new role**

In your new position, you will develop and implement organisational procurement and tendering strategies to enhance cost savings. You will manage tender evaluations for high value contracts and manage the full life-cycle of the contract. You will develop policies and procedures for the procurement of goods and services. You will facilitate high value tenders from start to finalisation, and you will negotiate pricing, discounts and rebates. You will manage vendor relationships to optimise benefits.

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered in this role you will have strong experience in commercial procurement, tendering and contract management. You will have excellent customer service skills and be able to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will also be writing briefing papers, processes and reports, experience in this is necessary.
