Protective Security Incident Management Analysts.
The role is within the Protective Security Operations you will be working with key stakeholders internally and externally to the department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of security arrangements and provides risk, policy, and governance advice to ensure the effective management of security risk and practices for the department’s people, information and assets.
The role requires an experienced security incident manager (excluding cyber incidents) to review the existing controls, assess the adequacy of the existing arrangements, provide uplift recommendations, develop processes and procedures, assist with exercises, and provide training.
In line with best practice, develop the following.
- Security incident management plan (roles and responsibilities, communications plan)
- Incident management plan on a page
- Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs)
- Security incident templates
- Summary plan template
- Communication template
- Lessons learnt template
- Senior Executive response plan
- Senior Executive engagement and sponsorship model
- Maturity modelling pathways
- Training package may include:
- Presentation slides
- Departmental Security essential training (internal personnel training and awareness package)
- Other services as required to support the section
**Core Mandatory Skills**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in security incident management
- Comprehensive knowledge of protective (excluding cyber) security incident management.
**Preferred Skills & Experience**:
- Working knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
- Australian New Zealand Counter-Terrorism Committee (ANZCTC) governance and policies.
