**Job Description**:
Our Buildings and Places team in Melbourne have an exciting opportunity for an ICT & Security Consultant to join our growing team. The role will involve working closely with our clients, contractors and internal stakeholders across various sectors including Health, Defence, Infrastructure (Road and Rail), Aviation and Commercial.
In this role you can expect to;
- Undertake engineering design from concept through to detailed design phases for ICT systems including communications structured cabling, networking infrastructure, and electronic security systems.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of ICT systems, including cost plan advice for all aspects of ICT systems.
- Provide detailed coordination between ICT systems, architectural design and building services systems.
- Contribute to project stakeholder engagement and project brief confirmation and sign off.
- Coordinate the communications spatial design and reticulation with the building services, architecture and structural design.
- Coordinate enabling design provisions such as power, cooling and redundancy requirements.
- Design Documentation using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD / Revit.
**Qualifications**:
As an ICT & Security Consultant in our Melbourne team, your attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively will help you to work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver the right solution, on time, every time.
You will be supported in your choice of career development and contribute to the growth and development of the team by delivering major multidisciplinary projects and working with a variety of teams across diverse industry sectors.
- Relevant Engineering Qualification in Technology, Electronics, or Telecommunications related field of study.
- Demonstrable experience in the communications, electronic security and networking infrastructure.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable working effectively within a team and collaborating with peers.
- A demonstrable understanding of other building services.
- Proven capability in working with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs.
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to the quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines.
- High level competency in written and oral communication.
- A willingness to travel, from time to time, to support specific client requirements.
- A proven consultative approach, with an ability to work with technical and non-technical project stakeholders.
- To have (or to be eligible to obtain) Professional Engineering Registration is preferred.
- Prior experience or understanding of Bluebeam, Revit, Visio and AutoCAD, not essential but advantageous.
