**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking an Operations Manager to work in the Visitor Engagement section. The Visitor Engagement section delivers quality interpretation and support services to diverse audiences including parliamentarians, building occupants and visitors. The Operations Manager role supports the efficient and effective day to day operations of the section by managing rostering of casual, part time and full-time staff.

**Who we are looking for**:
The role requires demonstrated experience rostering, supervising staff, communicating with multiple stakeholders, and confidence with a range of Microsoft office products and digital platforms. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is desirable. The successful applicant will be required to:

- obtain and maintain the relevant level of security clearance as well as a current working with vulnerable people card (WWVP)
- work on a roster where weekend, public holidays and some after-hours work may be required.
- Employees must pass a medical prior to commencing work.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a NV1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret)

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 6 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Manage Visitor Engagement staff rosters (guides, schools, and concierge) ensuring that all activities are suitably staffed, and that schedules are distributed to staff within Enterprise Agreement requirements.
2. Act as the section contact for Workplace Scheduling Services.
3. Supervisor the Visitor Engagement Concierge team.
4. Manage procurement processes for the Visitor Engagement Section.
5. Ensure tour booking systems are functional and updated as operational needs require.
6. Ensure reporting and evaluation systems are in place and monthly analysis occurs in a timely manner.
7. As a member of the Visitor Engagement Leadership team undertake duties as requested to support the strategic goals of the Parliamentary Engagement Branch.
8. Other duties as directed.
