**Seeking a Lived Experience Project Officer to join our Noarlunga Mental Health Inpatient Rehab Unit Project team**

The Lived Experience Project Officer - Consumer role is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on mental health rehabilitation services. You will be responsible for undertaking projects that support and enhance the development, integration, and sustainability of SA Health's Lived Experience Workforce, with a focus on rehabilitation services. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a state-wide training and orientation package for the Mental Health Rehabilitation workforce and broader MHS staff.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Allied Health Director (Mental Health) and the Lived Experience Consultant - Consumer, some of your duties as the Lived Experience Project Officer may involve:

- Contributing to the development of a lived experience workforce framework
- Development of staff training material relevant to peer work and providing lived experience perspective into the development of other staff training programs
- Advise and support the development of the Peer worker role within the MH Rehabilitation stream based on best practice approaches.

**About you**:

- Relevant lived experience of accessing support and treatment from mental health services.
- Ideally having experience working as a Peer Worker in mental health settings
- Experience in project coordination or contributing to project and program management, including collating research and drafting written material for strategic planning and service development.
- Demonstrated commitment to, empathy and appreciation for the lived experiences of mental health consumers and other stakeholders.
- Ability to relate, empathise with and be aware of the perspectives and diversities of others.
- Ability to work under limited direction, and collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives.
