Associate Director, Energy Transition, Commercial

**Job Description**:
Infrastructure problems are becoming more complex, calling for more sophisticated and better-integrated solutions. These challenges require new ways of thinking. Our **Energy Transition** team within our **Commercial Advisory and Transactions** group advises clients on the energy and climate transition through providing commercial, financial, transaction and strategic advice to clients.

Our team is embedded within the **Infrastructure, Asset & Places** group and is differentiated by our experience across all aspects of the energy infrastructure life cycle and connected with KPMG’s global decarbonisation hub.

**Your Opportunity**

Forming part of the **Energy Transition** team in **Brisbane** the **Associate** **Director **role will play a key role in building our Energy opportunities in the market and providing excellence in execution by:

- Bringing your energy industry experiences to support building the team and our opportunities.
- Simplifying and shaping complex client and market situations into simple strategies.
- Providing strategic, commercial, and financial advice and, financial modelling for our Energy clients.

- You wish to be part of significant deals and opportunities that solve for net zero emissions.
- You have extensive experience developing business cases and feasibility studies to support investment / commercial decisions.
- You are passionate in supporting clients with developing and implementing energy policy, such as renewable energy zones, standalone power systems, hydrogen, energy storage.
- You bring a strong understanding of (or passion for) new and emerging value propositions in the energy sector (such as electric vehicles, hydrogen, solar & storage).

You want to help solve some of Australia’s most significant energy transition, climate change, decarbonisation, or net zero emissions challenges and you are looking for a team focussed and dedicated to these challenges.

- The ability to prepare client deliverables, including reports and presentations, financial analysis.
- Recent professional experience in management consultancy, engineering consultancy, corporate advisory, accounting or law firms, investment banking, project finance teams, infrastructure funds, construction firms or within commercial or infrastructure teams in operational businesses.
