**Role Description/Criteria**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with teachers of the deaf, speech pathologists and classroom teachers to ensure effective understanding of information and learning tasks.
- Adjust tasks as required to meet individual students’ needs.
- Assist in the maintenance and use of assistive listening devices.

**Selection Criteria**

Applicants will be required to demonstrate the appropriate professional standards as follows:

- Ability to perform the role of an Educational Support - LSO in a primary school setting.
- An understanding and/or experience in supporting deaf and hard of hearing students desirable.
- An understanding and/or experience in supporting students with disabilities desirable.
- Willingness to be flexible and an ability to work as a member of a team.
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.

As a PBI, packaging is available to staff up to $15,900 of salary per annum which reduces tax and significantly increase take-home pay.
