**About the role**
The Executive Assistant plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive support to the director of a business unit committed to advocating for and supporting Aboriginal children, families, and communities. This position is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of the unit on a day-to-day basis and necessitates exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

**About you**
- The ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and maintaining an organized workflow to ensure efficiency.
- Capable of effectively managing time and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Skilled in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems (e.g., HPCM/TRIM) and SAP finance systems.
- Meticulous in reviewing documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality service and support to internal and external customers.
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check for paid employment).
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
