**Job Title**: Solution Designer

**Rate**: $800 to $900 per day + super

**Location**: Sydney - Redfern (Hybrid) - 2 days a week in the office

**Duration**: 6 months (potential to extend)

Our client, a leading organization in the Information Technology sector, is seeking a Solution Designer for an exciting opportunity. The role involves designing modular and scalable technical solutions aligned with business requirements and IT architectural guidelines. Working collaboratively with various stakeholders, including BAs, Senior Developers, and Architects, you will contribute to the agile development methodologies and devops practices of the team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze user stories and design detailed technical solutions
- Maintain up-to-date technical documents, including Interface Agreements, API documents, and Architectural designs
- Promote design best practices and stay informed about emerging technologies and development trends
- Ensure the quality of technical artifacts and contribute to estimation, planning, and stakeholder communication

**Essential Skills**:

- Proficiency in design tools such as Visio, Smartdraw, Drawio, or similar
- Software development experience with core design patterns, SOA, API, micro-services, event-driven architecture, and cloud computing
- Knowledge of REST API design and specification (e.g., RAML, Swagger)
- Experience working with large-scale cloud-based environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Familiarity with data architecture, quality, and governance

**Desirable Skills**:

- Hands-on programming experience in Java, Node.js, Vue.js, or related frameworks
- Strong interest in team practices and patterns that improve quality, such as peer review, TDD, and CI/CD
- Focus on business and user outcomes
