PERSOLKELLY have a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Coordinator experienced in the Food Manufacturing industry. Reporting to the State Operations and National QA Managers, the QA Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day quality requirements of the production area and team, ensuring all procedures are followed and that products are made to the required standard. The ideal applicant will have experience in a similar role, and show evidence of implementing, managing, and maintaining Quality Systems and processes in alignment with organisational requirements.

Reporting to the State Operations and National QA Managers, the QA Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day quality requirements of the production area and team, ensuring all procedures are followed and that products are made to the required standard.

**Responsibilities include**:

- To ensure the Quality Assurance Systems are fully implemented on site
- To ensure that the business operates within applicable legislative requirements such as safety, quality, environment, security and insurance
- To lead, manage and develop the culture and employee resources of the site with respect to quality consistent with corporate policies, procedures and values including staff induction and ongoing training;
- To develop and administer the internal auditing program for food safety and quality
- To liaise with external auditors prior to, during and after any external audits.
- To ensure that agreed company policies and business processes are in place and adhered to including microbiological sampling and testing of ingredients, products and environments
- To develop and maintain key relationships with peers, sales functions, head office functions, suppliers and customers
- In conjunction with site management and national QA to review and update the Quality procedures and processes for the site
- In conjunction with site management and corporate to implement an effective HACCP plan for the site in line with corporate policies and procedures

**Qualifications and Experience**

Essential:

- Food Technology and or Science Qualification.
- Min 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance roles especially high care
- Sound knowledge of legislative requirements for safety, quality, environment, security and insurance.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP principles.
- Good understanding of legislative requirements for safety as per Work Cover requirements.
- Practical understanding of Human Resources Management processes and related basic legal requirements.
- An appreciation of consumer protection legal requirements especially as they relate to perishable food products and associated regulatory arrangements in the food industry
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methods and processes
- Practical understanding of contemporary organisational behaviour and management of change principles
- Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and to initiate and deliver change independently or through teamwork
