**About the Role**:
The First Nations Education Presenter works as part of the Education Team. This role is offered on a temporary backfill basis. The position is 2 days per week and offered for up to end of June 2026.

You will be required to use your prior experience to provide a wide range of education programs and interpretive services for Australian Museum (AM) visitors.

Education Presenters deliver high quality formal and informal education programs centered on First Nations knowledges and ways of learning. Regular delivery of face-to-face and online education programs is the primary role, for a diverse range of audiences including, preschool, primary, secondary, and tertiary students and teachers.

You will be paid a competitive annual salary $79,032 - $86,539, pro-rated, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 11.5%) and annual leave loading.

**About You**:
We are targeting people who identify as Australian First Nations. You will be:

- passionate about sharing your knowledge of First Nations cultures and histories.
- comfortable interacting with a diverse group of people to deliver engaging educational programs.
- highly organised and work to deadlines, demonstrating efficient time management

**Your Knowledge & Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience delivering education programs to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations communities, organisations and/or knowledges.
- Understanding of the formal education sector, interpretation and curriculum requirements around science, history, geography and First Nations and Pasifika cultures

**Essential Requirements**:

- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent - Aboriginality/Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Clearance

- I identify as an Aboriginal person
- I am accepted by the Aboriginal community as an Aboriginal person
- I declare that this information is true and correct at the time of submission
- a statutory declaration if the applicant has no other formal documentary evidence. However, the applicant may need to provide additional supporting documents if the evidence in the declaration is not strong enough.

2. If an applicant cannot provide any of the above written documentation, AM can consider providing the applicant with an opportunity during the interview to confirm their Aboriginality.
