Arrilla is a majority Indigenous-owned organisation celebrating 33 years of operation. Arrilla is a market leader in the provision of First Nations cultural competency training (digital, face-to-face, and virtual), community consultation and facilitation services, as well as a broad range of consulting services.

You’ll be part of a great, small team of First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous allies who work in the office as well as virtually, across Australia. And you’ll work closely with Arrilla’s CEO, Shelley Reys AO, a Djirribul woman and Partner at KPMG.

We’re looking for a great First Nations consultant to play a key role in the next phase of our growth. You’ll bring a broad combination of qualities to the position, which will include experience in community consultation, facilitation and project delivery along with a strong sense of purpose and passion.

**What will you be involved in?**
- Work on a broad range of rewarding consulting projects in the First Nations justice, child protection, education, health, and reconciliation spaces to help our clients to realise their objectives
- Develop / enhance facilitation skills enabling you to support workshops, stakeholder consultations and community engagement (virtual and face-to-face)
- Work across all industries and sectors including corporate, government and not-for-profit
- Develop high quality proposals, documents, reports and recommendations
- Present our services to clients from a range of sectors and industries
- Work with the team to identify growth opportunities

**Are you the right fit for the role?**
- You will be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
- Sound knowledge of the matters that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Confidently lead as a cultural advisor in client-facing roles for workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagements
- Strong communications skills with excellent interpersonal and writing skills
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in an organised and autonomous manner to prioritise workloads
- Experience in or desire to develop strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Deep curiosity, excellent listening and empathy skills, and the willingness to ‘roll your sleeves up’ to get things done
- Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate unforeseen obstacles gracefully
- Experience in or desire to work with First Nations peoples and clients with an ability to help deliver on our vision which is _“to build a reconciled nation by supporting our clients to work more effectively with First Nations peoples, one workplace at a time.”_

Consulting experience is highly desirable but not essential. A willingness to learn combined with excellent written skills will be viewed favourably.
