Brick and Block Careers is a leading organisation dedicated to promoting brick and block laying job opportunities and career pathways. As an Industry Engagement Team Leader, your role will be crucial in coordinating operational outcomes, with a specific focus on apprenticeship attraction, preparation, placement, and retention. You will lead a small team, utilising your industry expertise, networking skills, and stakeholder management abilities to achieve positive outcomes.

**Summary**:
Additionally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, training organisations, employers, and government agencies.

**Experience/Qualifications**:
**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the placement and retention of bricklaying apprentices.
- Work closely with the National Manager to implement the Brick and Block Careers strategy.
- Promote bricklaying as a career choice through educational programs and talks.
- Attend career expos and events to generate leads and raise awareness.
- Plan and coordinate events and training programs, including participant recruitment.
- Network with employers to identify job vacancies and expand the organisation's reach.
- Maintain a strong network with schools, training providers, job networks, and government agencies.
- Conduct site visits to monitor opportunities, placement, and retention, and gather industry intelligence.

**Essential**:

- Strong business development and networking skills.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably leading a small team.
- Highly motivated to achieve positive outcomes for the business and industry.
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and achieve results.
- Availability for occasional after-hours work and travel, including overnight stays.
- Working with Children and White Card certification.
- Current Driver's License (as per state law).

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of the bricklaying/construction industry.
- Familiarity with the Vocational Education Training (VET) system and training pathways.
- Understanding of the secondary school system.
- Previous networking experience, preferably in the VET or secondary school sector.
- Knowledge of CRM and database platforms.
- First aid and CPR certificate.
