**About the role**

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day requirements of the Perth Operations fleet functions within the organisation, including people, vehicles, and its assets.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is passionate about operational excellence, has great leadership skills and knows how to build, maintain, and nurture relationships in a professional manner and ensure the highest safety and compliance standards are met.

Day to day:

- Providing customers services with quality, timeliness and diligence and behave in a manner that meets the expectations of the Jolly Business and their Core Values
- Supervising, monitoring, coordinating, loading, & unloading of vehicles filtering outbound freight for either line haul dispatch or on forwarding
- Ensuring that time critical data/paperwork is being completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring the effective utilisation/operation of fleet and personnel - Contribute to the organisation running in a profitable manner
- Ensuring operational compliance to our certifications and accreditations such as Road Transport, Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management and Dangerous Goods Regulations
- Controlling the use of Sub-Contractors to minimise cost impacts.
- Providing and maintaining vehicles and systems of work that are safe and do not pose risks to health
- Reporting any Customer related issues and instigating appropriate Corrective Action Procedures
- Monitor compliance to Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental (QHSE), Driver Fatigue and Chain of Responsibility Policies and Procedures
- Participating in the training, development and implementation of specific Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) risk management strategies, procedures, and policies as appropriate

**Skills and Experience**
- Vocational qualification in Business, Management or Leadership
- Provent road transport industry management experience
- Strong comprehension on the required and potential legal obligations (both from a Health & Safety aspect and Corporate Compliance)
- Strong understanding of Road Transport, Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management and Dangerous Goods Regulations
- Good understanding of all Management systems, QA, OSH and Environment
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Intermediate Office computer skills
- Good understanding of operational information
- Strong ability to work independently, work collaboratively with workers, and take responsibility
