Aee1 Assistant Director, Vetting Authority

**The opportunity**

The TOP SECRET-Privileged Access (TS-PA) security clearance is Australia's highest-level of security clearance and is managed by the TS-PA Vetting Authority within ASIO.

There are a number of roles available within the following areas:

- Coordination Directorate: you will lead a team of vetting assessors and administrative staff responsible for initial caseload triage and assessment, as well as coordinating vetting functions including the use of service providers, contractors and consultants.

**Role responsibilities**

As an Assistant Director in the Vetting Authority in ASIO, you may be responsible for:

- Providing leadership and support to vetting analysts and administrative staff, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Delivering vetting services in compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Coordinating the use of external service providers, including contractors and consultants.
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with sponsoring agencies to manage personnel and insider threat-specific risks.
- Providing oversight of secure storage and administration of sensitive personnel security records.
- Contributing to the ongoing strategic growth of the Vetting Authority with a focus on continuous improvement, project management and delivery.

Desirable attributes:

- Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting).
- Experience in security vetting, administrative decision making and/or government investigations.
- Experience in coordinating the use of external service providers.
- Current PV or TS-PA security clearance.

- An Australian citizen.
