The Business Partnerships Team (BPT) are part of the General Insurance business and have carefully selected suppliers across the country to ensure that Commonwealth Insurance Limited (CIL) customers are adequately covered in the event of a claim.
The purpose of the Supply Category Manager role is to manage the performance of CIL’s General Insurance Preferred Supplier Network in respect to quality of repairs, cost performance, Customer Experience and adherence to Code. These relationships are fundamental to the successful delivery of customer service and financial outcomes.

- Assist with the delivery of key business initiatives
- Actively manage supplier relationships to ensure achievement of sustainable quality, financial customer and productivity outcomes
- Analyse, cleanse, collate and present information on supplier and category expenses, and track benefits of Supplier model and category
- Ensure integrity of data used for management of suppliers and current claims performance in terms of costs, productivity and compliance
- Champion the vision of the GI business within the broader Group
- Act at all times in accordance with the Group's vision, values, policies and standards
- Participate as a key team player in a fair, challenging and rewarding workplace
- Proactively manage internal and external relationships, data trends and performance indicators to ensure organisational and regulatory compliance requirements are met, the strategic and operational risks are identified, appropriate remediation action is taken and/or recommended in order to minimise potential impacts
- Management of Preferred Suppliers within GI Systems
- Maintain supplier information such as contact details and supply regions within EstImage Property
- Identify any current or emerging risks associated with Preferred Supplier Models or individual suppliers and take appropriate action
- Proactively manage internal and external relationships, data trends and performance indicators to ensure that organisational and regulatory compliance requirements are met and that strategic and operational risks are identified and appropriate remediation action is taken and/or recommended in order to minimise potential impacts
- Work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including (but not limited to) Risk Management, Claims, Investigations, Product and Quality Assurance to ensure the sourcing, validating and sign off of data analysis
- Play a proactive role in the broader General Insurance team to assist with achieving and exceeding performance expectations across customer service and business performance indicators

- Risk mindset - proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
- External Supplier Management experience
- Experience in Home claims handling with a focus on customer, productivity and financial outcomes
- Previous Experience or Strong knowledge in Procurement and Home Supplier Network / Chain management through the life cycle of Home Supplier management
- Strong Relationship Management with External Suppliers to deliver to customer and financial outcome targets
- Experience in Performance Management Models to deliver to financial and customer targets
- Oversea that quality assurance and regulatory standards are met within General Insurance such as GICOP
- Comprehensive understanding or Supplier Category Performance Models
- Ability to establish sound working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Track record of critical thinking, process improvement and problem solving
- Ability to analyse and interpret data and act on Data
- Ability to deliver concurrent outcomes to deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
