The Royal Women’s Hospital has over 23 outpatient specialty services providing patient care. Gynaecology services are provided in three General Gynaecology Units each with a special interest. Gynaecology Unit 2 has a particular interest and expertise in management of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain. The specialist clinic staffed by over 12 gynaecologists.

This is a 2 year position; 1 year being contracted at The Women’s and 1 year being contracted at Mercy Hospital.

Fellows in Laparoscopic Gynaecologic Surgery
- Train in advanced endoscopic skills
- teach and mentor junior trainees in laparoscopic surgery
- facilitate educational activities for registrars and perioperative staff
- establish and maintain knowledge of technological advances with industry partners
- promote and improve standards in gynaecological services and facilities
- become a leader in the development and continuation of clinical research within the unit

Fellows are responsible for the provision of excellent clinical care to women who are outpatients or inpatients of the Royal Women’s Hospital and their babies and families.The area of practice will be limited to the relevant specialty area except as agreed or as necessary in exceptional circumstances.

**About you**
To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- MB BS or equivalent qualification
- Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- MRANZCOG, FRANZCOG or equivalent
- Research qualification or credentials highly valued

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required. As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
