The role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Company Secretary to support our Company Secretary to ensure that the College complies with its statutory and regulatory requirements and governance framework.
This permanent part-time role works on Tuesdays/Thursdays and Fridays, with the flexibility to swap to Wednesdays when required on an ad hoc basis.
An organised, self-starter with the ability to think proactively will thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Our kind of team member
You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:

- Experience in taking accurate Minutes in a timely manner
- Relevant training from Governance Institute of Australia or Australian Institute of Company Directors or working towards a relevant qualification or bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge of relevant sections of the Corporations Act 2001, ACNC Governance Standards, ASIC regulations, NESA and ACECQA requirements is preferred
- Understanding of corporate governance practices and regulatory frameworks
- High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information
- Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in a company secretarial, paralegal, or corporate governance role
- Proficiency in MS Office and use of company secretarial software (Board portal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
