**The Company**

Our client is a rapidly expanding and recognised food manufacturer with a trusted brand, creating high quality products loved by Australians for decades. With an enviable brand presence, they are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their primary processing site, located 1 hour south of Hobart.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include;
- Effectively manage the team using coaching, developing, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
- Manage and monitor operational areas performance levels, ensuring they are meeting Food Safety and Product Quality KPI’s.
- Implement and monitor strategies to reduce staff turnover and ensure labour cost base is productive, efficient, and cost competitive.
- Driving a safety-first culture, 5S and better machine uptime.
- Improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and being a good mentor for the production team.

**Your Background**

In order to be successful in this role you will have;
- Experience with leading and engaging a team, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment - Meat/Seafood processing experience is highly desired.
- Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies - Experience with a wide range of CI tools such as 5S, kanban and Kaizan.
- Ability to analyse data, understanding production and team performance to improve efficiencies, such as meat dollar per kilogram targets.
- Excellent communication with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong and effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve problems.
