Head of Keyboard

An opportunity exists for an innovative and experienced Head of Keyboard to join our collaborative team of creative music professionals at Melbourne Grammar School.

The Head of Keyboard has the responsibility to lead and develop the keyboard programs at our Middle School, Wadhurst, and Senior School and participate in the overall musical life of the Melbourne Grammar School.

**This role will see you**
- Teach piano on an individual basis for the balance of a full-time loading
- Prepare and accompany students for AMEB and VCE examinations, where appropriate
- Liaise with instrumental tutors regarding accompaniment requirements for concerts, recitals and examinations
- Participate in Orchestra tours, school musicals, and other extra-curricular activities, as required

**You will**
- Have knowledge of a wide range of keyboard pedagogy
- be motivated by the prospect of being part of our extensive performance programme
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to maintain open communication with parents and colleagues
- VIT registration is highly regarded
- Please note, Melbourne Grammar staff must hold or be able to obtain a valid Working with Children Check_
