**About the opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced **Communications Officer** to join our busy Communications and Community Engagement Team. This exciting role, within the Executive Services team, supports the development and delivery of communications that highlight Murrumbidgee Local Health District as an employee of choice and a vibrant organisation which delivers safe person led healthcare for the people of Murrumbidgee.

**As the Communications Officer you will be responsible for**:

- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality digital communications across the organisation.
- Planning, scheduling and creating engaging content across multiple channels and platforms to reach internal and external audiences.
- Responding to media enquiries and organising and managing local media opportunities.
- Researching, monitoring and reporting on communications activities to optimise. content and increase audience engagement.
- Supporting the Manager Executive Services - Communications in the strategic and day-to-day management of communications.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or an equivalent experience in a related field.
- The ability to manage media enquiries and events and lead the development and approval process when required.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- The values of collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to supporting rural healthcare and regional communities.
