Room Attendant/housekeeping

At Gaia we are all playing a part in our guests experience. The role requires a dynamic, self-motivated team player who has resort and/or hotel experience in guest services and/or reception.

To fulfill all responsibilities as a reception/guest service team member you will perform a variety of duties including taking calls, booking guests stay, taking details and special requests for guest stays and checking in/out guests,.

**The role involves -**
- Ensuring all guests feel cared for and their needs are being met.
- Resolve guest complaints to the guest’s satisfaction within level of authority or escalate accordingly.
- Consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Ensuring front office departmental standards are followed.
- Responding to guests’ special requests.
- Reporting necessary maintenance items, repairs and replacements needed when encountered.
- Following Gaia and departmental policies and procedures.
- Following all safety policies.
- Assisting other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to our guests.
- Performing additional duties as needed.
- Following Gaia’s personal presentation and high standard of grooming

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to show initiative and work independently
- Experience working in hotel/resort front office/desk
- Strong attention to detail
- Happy to work weekends

**IDEAL CANDIDATE**

We are looking for a commitment of min. 3 days per week to work at Gaia Retreat & Spa, 20 minutes from Byron Bay. The is a long term position with growth and flexibility available for the right person.
