We are currently seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Officer NSW to join our Corporate team based in North Ryde.

This role is responsible for efficiently processing and managing a portfolio of workers’ compensation claims in accordance with Healius’s policies and procedures, workers’ compensation law and the requirements of the group’s workers’ compensation self insurance license.

You will also provide relief to claims staff in Healius’s other Self-Insured states, as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage all aspects of the allocated portfolio of workers’ compensation claims according to Healius’s policy and procedures, legislation and WorkCover guidelines.
- Effectively communicate with all key stakeholders in the claims management process including Healius’s personnel, injured workers, unions, external service providers and the regulator.
- Maintain claims management records in the Safetysuite system and hard-copy claim files.
- Provide technical and practical advice to support the continual improvement of Healius’s workers’ compensation business processes.
- Provide advice to Healius’s RTW/Rehabilitation Coordinators to promote the timely and safe return to work of injured workers.
- Determine Provisional liability and claim liability for claims appropriately and within the timeframes.
- Ensure Injury Management Plans are prepared in accordance with timeframe, are specific to the injured worker and are updated/reviewed in accordance with timeframes.

**About you**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of workers’ compensation law and claims management
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Capable of taking initiative without constant guidance
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle a number of major tasks in the order of importance and relevance to the business
- Demonstrated experience in a Claims Management Role in a self-insured organisation or agent
