**About the role**
The **Access and Occupations Coordinator**will join a vibrant and engaging team that is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, management and execution of assigned Projects, including State Works Projects and Third-Party Projects, ensuring that all access and occupations are in line with the network closure strategy and provides a benefit to V/Line and V/Line Stakeholders.
This role is focused on evaluating requests of a Third Party to gain access to the V/Line network, and with support of the Access Interface manager and Third Party Access area;
- ensure that works undertaken on the V/Line network are conducted in a safe manner, and in accordance with those standards for the works that have been previously approved; and
- review Third Party Access (TPA) Applications and issuing Site Access Permits (SAPs).
**About You**
We are seeking an experienced Access and Occupations Coordinator to assist with the development, preparation and management of all aspects of access and occupations to meet business needs.
You are a **strong communicator**and can build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders while managing multiple competing priorities with tight deadlines.
With a curious nature and a **high attention to detail**, you seek out ways to improve processes and help the broader team to deliver for the traveling public.
- Key Accountabilities include:_
- Plan, coordinate, and lead all activities of each access and occupation to ensure all planned works are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and delivery parameters.
- Assist with the development, preparation and management including all aspects of access and occupations to meet the needs of Asset Management - Freight and Third Party; and V/Line Projects
- Liasing with internal stakeholders to meet the standard and regulation needs of Asset Management, Freight and Third Party, Network operations.
- Record and retain historical information regarding actual performance on the compliance with Site Access Permits (SAPs).
- Administration of relevant Access and Occupations information tasks as well as coordination of status reports for the portfolio of projects.
- Participate on on-site visits and/or working from Contractor’s site offices as required to ensure clear view of project activities and develop key relationships with external stakeholders.- Great attention to detail with clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proactive approach and well-developed organisation skills
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights
- Work experience in a similar role in the rail or construction industry Experience working in within complex and changing environments
- Strong stakeholder management at all levels
- Highly desirable:_
- Administration and/or business experience providing administrative support in an engineering environment.
- Previous experience planning and coordinating Third Party Access to an Accredited Rail Operator (ARO)
- Demonstrated experience working in an operational rail network.
