We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join us as Head of Range & Space for a 10 to 12 month maternity leave cover.
- In this role, you’ll lead the development and execution of MECCA’s Range and Space strategy across all store formats, optimising floorplans, product assortments and planograms to enhance the customer experience and drive commercial outcomes. You’ll guide a high-performing team and partner closely with teams across the business to deliver innovative, customer-first solutions.
- You’ll also play a key role in leading strategic initiatives that are critical to MECCA’s growth and retail transformation. This includes aligning stakeholders, shaping direction, and driving complex work forward with clarity, momentum, and a strong outcomes focus.
- MECCA’s approach to Range and Space is distinct - it’s fast-paced, highly interconnected, and deeply embedded in the way we bring product and brand to life in a unique and individualised way for our stores. To thrive, you’ll need sound commercial instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and a confident, solutions-oriented approach to leading people and delivering at pace.

The Role You Could Play- Lead the execution of MECCA’s Range & Space strategy across all formats, including both existing and new stores- Oversee floor planning, assortment curation, and planogram development to enhance customer experience and commercial performance- Manage processes and systems that are agile, efficient and fit-for-purpose, enabling flexibility and momentum to deliver impact beyond traditional retail models- Provide clear, confident leadership to a high-performing Range & Space team, with a focus on talent development and capability building- Manage strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the business- Proven experience with direct budget ownership and resource planning, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities

What You Will Bring- 7 to 10+ years' experience in Range & Space, merchandising, or retail transformation- Experience managing third party providers- Strategic mindset with strong project execution and change management capability- Proven leadership and people management experience- Strong commercial acumen and hands-on data capability with the ability to independently work with large, complex datasets to uncover meaningful insights and inform customer-led decisions- Strong collaborator, comfortable navigating cross-functional environments
