**About the role**

Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a **Portfolio Analyst**, you will work with key internal and external stakeholders and support setting and executing the strategy for the relevant Investment domain, delivering outcomes that are in the best financial interests of our members. You will work closely with the Strategy and asset class teams to ensure effective risk management of investment portfolios.

The first-line Investment Risk team sits within Investment Resilience and Planning and supports the Strategy and asset class teams to ensure effective risk management of Australian Retirement Trust’s investment portfolios. Responsibilities include investment risk analytics and reporting, whole-of-fund risk considerations, research on public and private markets, monitoring the macroeconomic and geopolitical landscape, assisting with stress testing (including climate change risks), and evaluation of risk mitigation strategies.

Key accountabilities will include:

- Build, maintain and improve fit for purpose processes, models and tools relevant to the investment domain.
- Conduct quality checks on the accuracy, completeness and suitability of data and methodology used in risk analytics, and sense check results prior to reporting.
- Develop and deliver timely and accurate risk reporting using Blackrock’s Aladdin Risk system and internal tools, including dashboards for asset classes and investment options.
- Assist with research and modelling of potential future scenarios and their likely impact on portfolios and evaluating potential risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with individual investment teams across Public and Private Markets to enhance the risk assessment of asset class portfolios and to support team-wide success.
- Provide analysis and reporting to support the negotiation of agreements and development of trusted working relationships with key external partners.
- Support embedding the Australian Retirement Trust risk management framework internally and externally.

**About you**

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce or economics
- Understanding of the Australian superannuation industry
- Experience working in the Investments industry for the relevant investment domain
- Advanced research and analysis capability
- Stakeholder management capability
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Ability to relate well to people and contribute as a team player.
