**About the role**
As Resource Recovery Employee (Transfer Station) you will be part of the Ipswich Waste Services team, and will be responsible for the efficient collection, recovery and disposal of domestic, commercial, and other waste that is collected through the operation of the public refuse and resource recovery centres.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Collection, recovery, re-use and/or recycling of resources
- Maintain resource recovery areas so that they are safe, clean, and free of impediments
- Engage with customers as required in a polite and respectful manner
- Operate a variety of equipment, including front end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, and other ancillary equipment

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Statements of Attainment for the competencies, or appropriate National Qualification Certificates, or evidence of proficiency (equivalent knowledge and experience) to Operate LL and LZ Class machinery (Front End Loader and Tracked Dozer)
- Provide genuine customer service to our customers and visitors of the facility
- Monitor and maintain a safe working environment
- Work in a supportive and encouraging team environment
- Be passionate about a clean and sustainable Ipswich for the future

**A pre-employment medical is required for this role (including drug and alcohol testing)**

This is a permanent full-time position with a salary commencing at Grade 18 - $68,466, plus 32.5% loading for working four (4) days on / four (4) days off roster. Superannuation of up to 12.25%. Employment is under the Ipswich City Council Enterprise Agreement Local Government Employees 2018.
