This role is responsible for the day-to-day event requirements, including but not limited to people management, budgeting sensitivities, stakeholder relationship building, customer experience & service for the Event Operations department, and the functionality and reliable operation of all associated equipment. Reporting directly to the Event Operations Manager, the Event Manager will ensure the operational planning and delivery of major events held at RAC Arena.

**About the Role**
- Assist the Event Operations Manager to ensure the venue operates within agreed budget parameters.
- Support the event coordinators and liaise with event hirers, promoters, and suppliers to ensure the distribution of timely event plans and event information (as required)
- Coordinate and manage Asset Security, Event Day Security, Car Park, Ticketing, and Traffic Management requirements.
- Identify and continually look at improving operational plans and processes.
- Coordinate and manage the deployment of external contractors at events, including Event Security, First Aid/Medical and WA Police (as required)
- A sound knowledge of physical security, including access control, CCTV, radio communications, FIP/EWIS and other security-related products.

**About You**
- Have 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role or within a venue environment.
- Diversified career background in the event industry, with hands-on venue operations knowledge
- Strong knowledge of State Legislation concerning the Security Industry, Liquor Industry, Civil Liability, Traffic Safety
- Possess strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency
- Have leadership capabilities to empower, motivate and engage staff.
