**What you will be doing**
In this role, you'll build and manage a robust risk management framework that supports risk owners across Jumbo, with a key focus on technology and operational risks. You’ll serve as the second line of defence—bridging the gap between operational management (first line) and independent assurance (third line)—to ensure consistent, effective risk practices that support our business continuity and resilience.

**What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like**
- Work with key stakeholders to identify, assess, and document technology, compliance, and operational risks.
- Conduct thorough assessments of technical systems, IT infrastructure, and business operations to pinpoint vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and compliance gaps related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational risk.
- Collaborate with departments to design and put in place risk mitigation strategies and controls that align with Jumbo’s risk appetite and business goals.
- Collect and compile risk data, incident reports, and control effectiveness information, then report these insights to the Audit & Risk Management Committee. Identify trends and suggest improvements where needed.
- Facilitate risk assessments to help teams prepare for periodic audits.
- Roll out risk management policies, procedures, and controls across departments, ensuring clear communication and understanding of risk expectations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to raise risk management awareness at all levels of the organisation.

**What You’ll Be Able to Bring to the Role**
- A background working in risk management, cybersecurity, IT governance, or compliance.
- Familiarity with risk management standards such as ISO31000, ISO37301, ISO27001, and PCI DSS.
- Hands-on experience with technical risk areas like cloud security, software vulnerabilities, and operational resilience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively liaise across departments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in risk reporting and compliance.
- A self-starter with a proven ability to establish and put in place risk programs that foster a strong risk culture.

This is a hybrid part-time position working 3 days per week (2 days in office / 1 day wfh) based out of our Brisbane Head Office. Currently, the role has an Australian focus only at this time, but could potentially grow in the future to a global remit.

**Salary**: $140,000 - $160,000 AUD +Super Pro Rata For Actual Hours Worked
