Risk Reporting Analyst

**The role**

Working closely with the Risk Reporting Manager, you’ll be the engine behind our risk dashboards and reports, bringing meaning to metrics, ensuring our leaders see the full picture, and supporting regulatory reporting requirements. It’s a role that blends analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and a genuine opportunity to shape how risk is understood and acted on across the organisation.

**Position Accountabilities**

In this role, you will:
- Take the lead in maintaining and reporting the Group Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), helping to align divisional activities to our strategic risk profile.- Build, edit and deliver engaging, fit for purpose risk reports for senior stakeholders, including our Executive Risk Committee and Divisional Risk Committees.- Conduct deep dive reviews and 2nd line risk monitoring to support proactive risk oversight.- Gather and prepare high quality data and evidence for internal reports and regulatory submissions, including requests from APRA.- Help manage the integrity of risk data and support research by compiling internal and external insights.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our risk systems, processes, and culture by bringing fresh thinking and an analytical lens.

**What experience you’ll bring**- A strong analytical mindset, ideally backed by experience or qualifications in business, risk, or data analytics.- A knack for translating complex data into clear, meaningful reports, especially for senior audiences.- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for structured documentation and reliable audit trails.- A collaborative attitude with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of the business.- An understanding of risk reporting and regulatory frameworks.- Prior exposure to the insurance or financial services industry is a plus, but not essential.- Solid skills in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with SQL and Power BI is a bonus.
