- ** Oversee Daily Warehouse Activities**:

- Monitor daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Update and develop procedures as necessary to optimize operations.
- Ensure compliance with quality and workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures.
- Schedule and deliver quality and WHS training in a timely manner.
- Attend daily production meetings and provide relevant information.
- Escalate issues when required to ensure on-time and complete delivery of sales orders.
- Promote and enforce safe working procedures and 5S practices.
- Monitor delivery performance (DIFOT) and manage freight costs.
- Maintain appropriate levels of consumable stocks.
- Oversee stock control activities, including stock take and cycle counting.
- Ensure timely checking and receipting of inward goods.
- Manage waste management processes.
- ** Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce storage and distribution costs.
- Recommend measures to improve process flow and overall warehouse performance.
- Analyze reports and take appropriate actions based on findings.
- Address concerns and implement preventive measures through root cause investigations and the Corrective Action Reports (CAR) process.
- ** People Management & Compliance with Quality and WHS Standards**:

- Manage the performance of the warehouse team, providing constructive feedback and addressing poor performance as per company policy.
- Collaborate with the plant manager to promptly address employee grievances.
- Ensure training and development opportunities for the warehouse team, including succession planning.
- Promote compliance with quality and safety standards, both internally and in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with the plant manager on recruitment and induction processes.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of safety, open communication, and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in warehouse management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including storage, distribution, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with quality assurance procedures and workplace health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems, SAP desired.
