Our **National Immigration Support Service** (NISS)** offers comprehensive assistance to individuals seeking asylum and refugees residing within the Australian community.

Navigating the journey toward stability in Australia, as an asylum seeker or refugee, is fraught with challenges. **About the Role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Life Without Barriers for a **Program Coordinator** to oversee the administrative and operational aspects of the NISS program. This critical leadership role involves the management of teams dedicated to delivering exceptional service to clients, with a focus on administrative excellence in referral management, record-keeping, data analysis, and reporting.

In this position, you will lead by example, leveraging your strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure the seamless operation of services that significantly impact client outcomes. Your role will be pivotal in fostering social inclusion, enhancing resilience among clients, and advocating for their rights and well-being within the community.

By joining us as a **Program Coordinator** for the NISS program, you will play an essential role in empowering clients and their families, driving positive change, and contributing to a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement within Life Without Barriers.

This **full-time max-term (2 years)** position offers the flexibility to be based in **Sunshine or Dandenong (VIC) or Parramatta (NSW)** or a comparable location, with the option to work from both home and office environments, ensuring a balanced approach to professional and personal life.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Convey information, to clients and their families, and other people in the lives of clients and participate in negotiations with family members, medical services, activity services and other community services to help meet daily client needs and/or plan support for future client requirements.
- Define and maintain professional boundaries and be accountable for autonomous decisions that impact on clients and staff, made within bounds of LWB policy and with management support.
- Determine matters on a day-to-day basis, handling commonly occurring situations or cases within an area of practice, and reporting regularly to a manager who has overall accountability for the area or program.
- Lead a culture of service excellence and embedding standards, behaviours, and strategies to ensure ongoing, measurable, positive therapeutic outcomes for clients.
- Participate in internal or community information sessions or consultative processes that relate to client and service issues.
- Participate active team member, attending and contributing to team meetings, training, supervision, and reflective practice, to maintain a consistent and responsive service.
- Monitor & maintain high quality written and electronic documentation relating to individual plans, progress notes/shift reports and other documentation such as incidents.
- Maintain and update professional skills by actively participating in personal, professional, service development and training opportunities.
