Receptionist - Part Time - East Bentleigh Vet Clinic

**East Bentleigh Vet Clinic are seeking a Part-time (35hrs per week) Veterinary Receptionist**

**East Bentleigh Vet Clinic** is a modern purpose built hospital, with a caring and experienced team of veterinarians and nurses who are committed to providing excellent customer service and exceptional pet care. We are a very busy clinic offering a wide range of services and surgical procedure.

The experience and knowledge of the people you would get to work with, allows us to provide veterinary medicine and surgeries at the highest level with very little need for referral.

The practice is growing and as a result we now need to add to our dedicated reception team to assist us in providing **excellent customer service**, allowing our vets and nurses more focus on providing exceptional medical care. We are looking for a gun receptionist to assist with the front of house process, from welcoming patients, managing multiple clients at once, handling multiple phone lines, diligent at booking revisit appointments, provide EXCELLENT customer service no matter the situation, manage numerous rewards card systems, merchandise and much, much more.

**The Role includes**:

- Greeting clients and their pets and managing new patient registrations
- Scheduling appointments for multiple veterinarians
- Invoicing clients and collecting payments
- Ensuring every client leaves with a revisit appointment booked
- Processing pet insurance claims
- Providing administrative support to veterinarians and the Practice Manager
- Assisting clients with retail sales of over the counter products
- Ordering and restocking of over the counter products
- Minimum 35 hours per week

**Essential Criteria**:

- At least 5 years reception experience
- Friendly, warm personality with a strong customer focus and a soft spot for animals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate ideally with experience in scheduling appointments and managing a customer database
- Enjoy working as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously when required
- Proven experience in a customer service role
- Great time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi task and a can do attitude
- Ability to keep calm under pressure
- You must LOVE customer service and being at reception. This position is specifically an admin support staff role so it would suit someone with a passion for being at the front of house, not a nurse or someone wanting hands on animal experience
- Experience in a fast paced, medical environment considered a huge advantage (eg: vet clinic, doctors surgery, hospital, physio etc)
- Exceptional record keeping skills
- Experience using RX Works software system an advantage

This position is open to anyone with the above experience. Currently your roster would be Monday - Friday 12pm - 7.30pm. There may be scope down the track for a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts however currently is role is all afternoon shifts. No weekend work required. Immediate start or ASAP.
