**Salary**: $94,047 - $105,429 pa plus superannuation and leave loading.

**Your role**

An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Education Officer to join the Intensive Learning Centre (ILC) at the Lithgow Coast Correctional Centre to assist with planning and developing courses which meet the requirements of accredited programs and training packages to achieve the highest level of compliance in accordance with CSNSW policies and procedures. This role is crucial in the contribution to reduce inmate reoffending and increased community safety.

**What you’ll do**
- Implement education assessment and planning and processes to determine offender participation in appropriate education programs and services.
- Conduct classes with offenders who are required to meet the learning needs, styles and interests of inmates under the principles of adult learning
- Develop course outlines and teaching and assessment resources for the delivery of courses which meet the accredited qualifications
- Participate in evaluation processes including validation and moderation of assessment.
- Coordinate the provision of services in the Intensive Learning Centre related to education and training i.e inmates access to computers, library, and courses delivered by the external education service providers
- Maintain administrative duties related to teaching
- Contribute to offender case management by providing support and advice to inmates on education and employment pathways

**What we’re looking for**
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
