Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator

Wood is seeking expressions of interest from Mechanical Coordinators with proven Oil & Gas Maintenance experience to join our team, at the Ampol Refinery. For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton, and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
- Lead safety by setting and monitoring standards,
- Ensure that the Management of Work (MOW) process is implemented across the areas of accountability. Actively work with team to continuously improve the MOW, MOC and other maintenance systems,
- Ensure quality targets are met, championing QA/QC processes,
- Coordinates closely with Inspection to ensure the annual Critical Safety System execution plan is planned and delivered to ensure statutory compliance is achieved for Pressure Safety Valves, Over Speed Tests and Static Equipment in area of accountability,
- Proactively manages IR issues within their team and escalate issues as appropriate with contractor management teams onsite,
- Provide technical support and scope guidance during the planning process, liaising with the Engineering team and external stakeholders as required,
- Strong mechanical knowledge of pumps, motors and PSV's, as well as, coordinating engineering, drafting, fabrication and implementation vendors,
- Procure materials and raise service orders to successfully execute work orders to strict QA/QC requirements,
- Continuous improvement and updates in SAP Master Data,
- Identifying SH&E improvement opportunities for work activities during plant maintenance, including Shutdown planning and execution,
- Secure resources required to successfully complete scope and mobilize vendors for execution.
- Engineering degree or equivalent in related discipline,
- 5+ years in maintenance or refinery related roles,
- Experience aligning to organisational strategy, as well as planning and executing localized strategies via work activities including technical or asset plans,
- 2 or more years of demonstrated ability to lead and develop people,
- Experience in maintenance management whereby able to read and translate machinery design, condition monitoring, equipment failure investigation and analysis,
- Strong problem solving and investigative skills.

- Sound knowledge of EH&S requirements for industry
