An opportunity is now available for a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join a Haematology specialist practice, with Medical Receptionist experience preferred. The role is based in Box Hill and is located close to public transport.

**Responsibilities**
- Welcoming patients in a warm and courteous manner
- Answer phone calls and enquiries professionally
- Schedule patient appointments and follow up communication
- Professionally communicate bookings and patient needs with staff
- Accurately entering patients’ data into medical software called Genie Solutions (Magentus)
- Patient billing
- Process Medicare claims
- Liaising with hospitals and other medical practices
- Requesting urgent investigation results for clinic
- Working closely with the doctors and practice team
- Adhering to relevant health and safety standards
- Ensuring patient and Practice privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Ordering stock
- Petty cash handling
- Communicate with Medicare regarding patient’s claims
- Opening and processing mail
- General administrative duties

**Ideally you will bring**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Experience in Genie Medical Practice Software (Magentus)
- Understanding of common medical terminology
- Proficient computer literacy skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise efficiently
- Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as in a team
- Empathy and a drive to make a positive difference

Applicants must be available to work from 9:00am - 5:00pm weekdays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
