Seeking an APS 4 Security Administration Officer to fill a 12 month labour hire role with a Federal Government agency. NV1 Clearance required.
**About the Role**:
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented APS 4 Security Administration Officer to support the day-to-day running of personnel security functions. You will play a key role in managing the security inbox, handling sensitive issues, and providing administrative support in line with security policies and procedures. Your contributions will ensure the efficient operation of personnel security, both internally and externally, in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
As part of the role, you will act as a Designated Security Officer, helping to manage the organisation's personnel security posture and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional team and make a meaningful impact on security practices.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on protective security matters, including pre-employment and security clearance processes
- Coordinate complex administrative tasks related to personnel security, such as maintaining the Designated Security Assessed Position register and managing security clearance portals
- Contribute to the development and improvement of security processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve security-related inquiries
**What We're Looking For**:
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of the Australian Government Security Framework and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) is highly desirable
- Ability to make decisions with some autonomy within defined parameters
- Demonstrated ability to manage moderately complex administrative tasks and security processes
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in security practices
**Essential Requirements**:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 security clearance (or higher if required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a national police check
- Australian Citizenship is required
