**About the role**

A key member of our New Bridgewater Bridge project, the Supervisor - Structures will be responsible to monitor the performance of plant, labor, and subcontractors to ensure production targets are achieved. You will ensure that planning, safety, environmental and quality requirements are met while managing delivery of large structural developments.

Based in Hobart, Tasmania, this role offers an opportunity for you to enjoy coming to work This is a hands-on role that requires you to have solid attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will have significant and demonstrated civil supervisory experience in a structure-focused delivery project and will support the New Bridgewater Bridge project, Tasmania's largest-ever transport infrastructure project, and the longest road bridge over water in Australia.
- Promote total job safety and environmental awareness to employees, subcontractors, and all persons engaged in the project.
- Emphasises to all employees and subcontractors the key messaging senior management places on embossing a culture of safe work practices and environmental protection.
- Take ownership that hazards are identified, risks assessed, and control measures planned and implemented in consultation with relevant employees.
- Promptly advise Superintendent of any issues that could result in variations to the contract and ensure effective record keeping.
- Organise, coordinate, and direct construction activities in accordance with construction schedules so as to complete the works on time and within budget whilst constantly ensuring that planning, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
- Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes, and standards, which form part of the contract.

**About you**
- Trade qualification is relevant to the construction, building, or infrastructure industries
- Substantial experience working as a Supervisor on major civil constructions projects
- Supervising teams of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with McConnell Dowell health, safety and environmental rules and regulations
- Strong and proven ability to lead, direct and manage groups of diverse employees
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
