Reporting to the CIO, the Head of Enterprise Architecture is a key role in developing the strategic roadmap for Nuix's customer-facing products at a pivotal point in the Nuix journey.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated enterprise architect with a balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills who will lead a team of architects product managers and engineering leaders across the R&D and Product teams in Australia and North America to craft a set of consistent, highly scalable, flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the integration and adoption across the Nuix product suite.

The Head of Enterprise Architecture will need to think strategically about products and technical challenges, linked to driving business value. You will help the delivery teams understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing products progressively toward the target state architecture.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- In partnership with the architects, engineers and product managers across the R&D teams, formulate an enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap and principles to guide the delivery teams and inform executive decision making.
- Work closely with senior executives as part of broader business planning to influence our long-term technical and business strategy and ultimately enable us to rapidly deliver innovative new solutions.
- Provide direction on key architecture and infrastructure decisions, whilst still empowering the delivery teams for localized decision-making.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the architecture community.
- As a key member of the Technology Leadership Team, lead and build a strong and positive engineering culture.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions.
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers. Strong written communication skills including executive reports, narratives and technical reports.
- Experienced in architecting scalable and elastic distributed systems with modern data architectures and API platform design for internal and external consumers.
- Ability to look at solutions in creative ways, recognize opportunities to innovate, and engage partners in a vision and strategy.
- Coached, influenced, and inspired multiple teams to tackle complex technical problems.

**Location**:

- Hybrid working, with a preferred location of Sydney, working actively with delivery teams based in Australia & North America.
