**About the Role**

The Category Manager Professional Services position sits within the CBA's Professional Services Category Team and is responsible for supporting and co-managing end-to-end procurement activities across a designated portfolio of categories, including operational support and sourcing activities. Its objective is to become a commercial enabler to the business units with which they are aligned.

Group Procurement staff are expected to perform all tasks in a manner consistent with CBA’s Values, namely Care, Courage and Commitment.

The role reports to Executive Manager, Professional Services.

About the Responsibilities

**Stakeholder & Customer Relationship Management**:Identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships to enable delivery against the Corporate Vision and strategic priorities on customer service, technology & operational excellence, trust & team spirit, profitable growth and banking services (as appropriate).

**Procurement Strategy Management**:Support the total commercial management of a portfolio of categories and strategic suppliers to support associated business priorities and strategic initiatives. Involved in sourcing strategies and activities within the nominated Portfolio.

**Business Analytics**:Assist with the development and use of commercial and quantitative data to manage category performance. Contribute to the management of all procurement intelligence, from relevant sources including corporate expenditure, supplier information and analysis, and associated industry data

**Contract & Supplier Management**:Ensure category strategies and activities align with CBA’s Supplier Governance Framework and Contract Management Minimum Standards (CMMS). Develop and implement effective Supplier Relationship Management frameworks with critical suppliers.

**Risk & Compliance**:Ensure business stakeholders have a full and comprehensive understanding of category risks, and all relevant risk documentation and processes have been completed. Liaise with appropriate risk SME’s to develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies, including the implementation of appropriate processes and governance to address all aspects of risk to ensure continued supply through robust assessment and governance processes and business controls.

You’ll bring with you:

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Procurement and / or Supply Chain Management role(s) or equivalent experience.
- Professional services category/ies and /or financial services experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end complex procurement categories which include developing, influencing and implementing category strategies; capturing business requirements, spend analytics, development and execution of RFX documents, commercial negotiations and driving supplier selection in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver and thrive in a highly complex, ambiguous and a large team environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to be persuasive and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
- High degree of problem solving and decision-making ability.
- Strong commercial acumen and vision to align with strategic objectives.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent professional qualification from a recognized tertiary institution is highly desirable
- Post graduate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field highly regarded.
- Experience with e-procurement processes and systems highly regarded.
- Formal qualifications in productivity, LEAN methodologies, and project management highly regarded.
