About Heartbreaker:
Heartbreaker opened its doors to the public in August 2015 and hasn’t looked back. Being part of Made In The Shade and The Eveleigh Alumni our mission has never waivered - create a classic good-time bar, serving great drinks and food till the early hours.

Designed as a bar with a love for people and music, Heartbreaker is only made stronger by its come one, come all community. We’re deeply passionate about music and the role it plays in bringing people together for a night to remember.

Heartbreaker is passionate about showcasing the best breweries with weekly revolving taps and premium bottled and tap cocktails from The Everleigh crew. New York slice joint Connie’s Pizza is slinging slices til the early hours for those in need of a satisfying pie.

With a pool table and arguably the best jukebox in Melbourne, filled with classic rock albums from the era of 1968-1982, and DJs on the weekends, Heartbreaker is devoted to every inch of the late night experience.
- We are after someone who has a demonstrated natural ability to make people feel very welcome, and right at home whether sitting at the bar or under the neon glow
- We have a fun and ever rotating tap list along with a vast back bar selection - you will need to have a broad knowledge, lively interest and appreciation for spirits and craft beers alike.
- Feel comfortable leading and inspiring the team from both behind the bar and on the floor side of things - this is a hands-on role for a true leader possessing the ability to educate, nurture, manage and drive an aspirational team.
- Experienced in all facets of venue operations including menu costing, stock control and labour management.
- A talent for multi-tasking and problem solving - having the ability to be solutions focused and understand what needs to be prioritised.
- Communication is essential to be successful within this venue - in part with this you will need to be confident, organised, and thoughtful within your communication style
- A strong work ethic - knowing what it takes to be an all round hospitality professional, both inside and outside the venue, with the drive to becoming an influential figure within the Made in the Shade Group and the industry.
- Heartbreaker will require someone with a strong hospitality background - minimum four years experience within a management role in a high volume restaurant or bar.

Made in the Shade focuses on ensuring every guest who walks into a Made in the Shade venue receives a warm hello and goodbye, with the group motto ‘people before drinks’ evident in every visit.
