**What this opportunity involves**:
One of JLL’s clients with hundreds of properties across Australia is setting ambitious Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions objectives, targeting Net Zero emissions by 2030.
We seek a Net Zero Manager who is an experienced Property Sustainability Professional.
You will work closely with our internal and client property teams, including dedicated sustainability teams, to implement the Net Zero strategy across our client portfolios to help them meet this 2030 target.
**Snapshot of the role**:
The role will develop and implement strategies from our client’s Net Zero Action Plan, assist with infrastructure rollout for fleet electrification, and research and implement innovative solutions to drive portfolio efficiency and Net Zero outcomes.
The ability to build relationships, develop processes and achieve outcomes efficiently and effectively will be critical to this role. The role will maintain oversight of a range of projects such as Solar PV, LED lighting upgrades, HVAC and BMS upgrades, water efficiency and waste minimisation projects, to assist our client to become a leader in property-related sustainability.
The establishment of best practice processes, procedures, templates, specifications and guidelines in this role will help maximise the benefits achieved from sustainability projects and facilitate measurement and verification.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a progressive client to ensure they achieve their ambitious goal of becoming a Net Zero organisation by 2030.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the client to develop their sustainability strategy, policy and framework and facilitate engagement with other client-side teams.
Assisting our client to develop, implement and update their Net Zero Action Plan, and monitoring and reporting on progress against this plan.
Assisting the client in the roll-out of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.
Researching and implementing innovative solutions to drive portfolio efficiency and Net Zero outcomes.
Delivering or assisting with the development of program management and governance functions for all sustainability projects.
Assisting the client team to identify, procure, manage and commission sustainability programs and projects.
Ensuring relevant elements of the client’s Net Zero Action Plan are incorporated into contracts and tender evaluations.
Developing business cases for new projects and initiatives to support client approvals.
Manage smaller sustainability initiatives via work orders with contractors.
Establishing and implementing best practice processes, procedures, templates, specifications and guidelines for all project types, and frameworks for the measurement and verification of energy, water and waste efficiency projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Possess a passion for property sustainability, especially as related to Net Zero emissions.
Be university qualified in engineering, sustainability or a related field.
Possess superior communication and people skills, with the ability to build relationships and work with others to achieve outcomes
Be a self-motivated individual who is driven to achieve their objectives.
Be an adept strategic thinker and planner, with the ability to develop clear documents and processes.
Be capable of managing deliverables and stakeholders, with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Possess skills derived in a related consulting, technical delivery or client relationship management role.
Be experienced working with government entities and be familiar with commonwealth policies for sustainability, procurement, project management, and spending.
