**The opportunity**:
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Advice Risk vision is to make risk meaningful via a practical, embedded and evidenced risk management and to assist our business partners to make risk informed decisions.
The Incidents, Issues and Breaches team is part of the ERM team supporting the Advice businesses in the appropriate assessment, monitoring and resolution of incidents, issues and breaches (IIBs).
The purpose of the role is to drive the end-to-end incident management process in order to improve risk culture, support timely rectification of incidents and manage breach reporting. This role is key to the successful demonstration of Advice Risk’s adherence to the Risk Appetite Statement metrics, in addition to AMP’s broader delivery on the Regulatory Engagement Strategy with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).
**How you will make an impact**:
- Draft regulatory submissions and seek relevant approvals in a timely manner to ensure compliance with mandatory breach reporting timeframes.
- Provide support to the Advice business and Risk Partners in relation to the incident and breach management functions to ensure the effective ownership, management and closure of incidents, issues and breaches.
- Conduct compliance assessments and referrals to relevant committees for breach determinations under the regulatory reporting regime.
- Manage and update breach records with committee decisions, regulatory submissions and subsequent commitments/updates.
- Work closely with Risk Partners to provide guidance and assistance with open incidents and rectification activities.
- Produce regulatory reporting themes, root cause analysis and insights to the Advice Risk team to collectively enhance the Advice business’ risk management framework.
- Participate and contribute to Advice’s Regulatory Engagement Strategy in support of maintaining a strong and effective regulatory relationship with ASIC.
- Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements across the Advice business.
**What you will bring to the role**:
- 2 years of experience in operational and/or compliance risk management or risk reporting.
- Understanding of the financial services industry ideally within Advice, relevant regulators (e.g. ASIC and APRA), and current and proposed financial services regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Ability to implement, monitor and report on risk management and compliance frameworks, risks and incidents across multiple businesses.
- Strong written communication skills to produce timely and accurate regulatory submissions.
- Pro-active in your approach to your work, anticipating issues before the occur.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to think laterally and strategically.
