Our client is looking for a Finance Process Improvement Specialist who will assume a pivotal role in cultivating a culture of commercial innovation.

**The Company**

Our client is a reputable, growing allied health distribution and clinical services business in the South Eastern Suburbs. Our client currently in the midst of a comprehensive digital transformation across the entirety of its operations. In your capacity as the Finance Process Improvement Specialist, you will assume a pivotal role in cultivating a culture of commercial innovation within the finance department.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your main responsibilities will include executing finance process improvement initiatives and offer support to the finance process owners.
- Evaluate current finance processes in light of present and future business requirements, identifying areas for enhancement and providing recommendations.
- Assess and address finance process controls associated with both existing and proposed processes to ensure they align with business objectives.
- Leverage your in-depth process knowledge to analyse finance functional requirements and offer innovative solutions and recommendations by utilising process re-engineering and automation technologies.
- Lead various aspects of process design activities to expedite improvements in finance operations, internal controls, and productivity.
- Collaborate with Finance Operations teams & other key stakeholders on matters related to process and accounting systems projects, particularly in the areas of solution design, accounting treatment, controls, general ledger entries, user acceptance testing, and final implementation.
- Work closely with the ERP, IT teams & other key stakeholders to investigate and resolve accounting system issues that may impede finance & business operations, audit compliance, and process enhancements.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business transactional flows, accounting systems, and their associated accounting impacts to enable continuous process improvement.
- Engage with key business stakeholders to evaluate the financial impacts of cross-functional projects and collect pertinent information sources for prioritising improvement initiatives for the finance department.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leading and imparting training on continuous improvement methodologies to the broader team

**Your Profile**

Excellent communication skills are a must, as you'll be responsible for conveying messages of change throughout the organisation and providing mentorship and leadership to a diverse team of professionals. Your professionalism, drive, and ability to inspire collaboration are key to project success.

You should thrive in dynamic environments, constantly seeking improvements in business systems and processes. Having a CPA or CA qualification and immediate availability (or close to it) is preferred.

Your experience in fast-paced settings and strong presentation skills to senior executives are highly valued. You should also excel in engaging with business stakeholders and external consultancies at various levels, understanding their needs and how IT can support strategic and commercial objectives.
