As a Principal Program Officer, you will work to support QRA, state agencies and communities on activations and policy relating to recoveryfunding programs following disaster events.In this role, you will have opportunities to:

- Guide the strategic direction of state, regional and local resilience and recovery investment opportunities.
- Provide expert advice on DRFA policy reform and complex DRFA Category C and D eligibility queries as part of business casedevelopment and engage with state and Commonwealth representatives as required.
- Coordinate and guide internal and external stakeholders on DRFA exceptional package design.
- Oversee disaster impact identification during response and recovery to inform DRFA activations, recovery action planning andstate-wide exceptional package requirements.
- Partner with colleagues across the organisation to guide strategic recovery policy activities to ensure communities can accessappropriate funds following a disaster event.
- Build and manage positive working relationships and partnerships with colleagues, other levels of government - state and federal,industry and non-government organisations, to achieve policy outcomes and ensure disaster recovery and resilience fundingprograms provide the best outcomes for communities.
- Support divisional priorities considering organisational needs and provide support and guidance for team members and across QRAas needed.
- Represent QRA's position in meetings, committees, and cross-agency forums at state and national level, drawing on organisationalexpertise and experience to influence the wider policy agenda.
- Undertake related projects and other duties of equivalent complexity as required.
- The role reports to the Manager, Recovery Programs.
