Marketing & Communications Specialist

We're currently searching for a **Marketing & Communications Specialist **to join our growing team in **Brisbane, Queensland.**

Our Marketing and Communications Specialist will be a key influencer and contributor in our Marketing and Communications team, that is not only young and ambitious but that is respected and empowered to make big, beefy and exciting decisions on how to present our amazing products and services to the world.

Our new Marketing & Communications Specialist will need to be comfortable in owning much of Marketing's content and strategy around both our internal and external communications. They’ll need to have an advanced command of English with regards to spelling, punctuation, and grammar, and will also need to be able to write copy and generate content that is consistent with Bp's brand voice and tone. They need to know when to be serious, and when they can have a bit of fun

**As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, we'll call on your unique talents, skills, expertise and experience to**:

- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external customers to source content for articles and blog posts
- Write, edit, proof, and publish engaging blog and website content
- Write, edit, proof and distribute important media & press releases (with authorisation and approval from relevant internal stakeholders)
- Represent the Bp brand in all things communications. This includes putting a 'human face' on our organisation by encouraging members of Team Bp to tell their stories
- Take initiative and exhibit a proactive approach to expanding Bp’s internal and external communication channels in both quality and quantity - we want you to sniff out the stories and bring them to life
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Leader to expand our communications efforts to include images and video, in addition to copy
- Ensure that all content generated adheres to SEO best practices, giving your stellar content the best chance of being seen by the world
- Work in the Microsoft Office suite, and publish blogs and content in a Wordpress environment, using a graphical editor (Elementor)

**We believe our ideal applicant will demonstrate the following attributes**:

- Holds a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
- Can demonstrate a generalist marketing background including branding, graphic design, eDMs, advertising campaigns, sponsorships, partnerships, community relationships and promotions
- Isn’t afraid to think outside the box, and sees mistakes as an opportunity to learn and grow, rather than something to avoid at all costs
- Can work hard, but more importantly, has a big heart, and shows genuine care for their team
- Is able to craft writing in a style and tone that suits different audiences and forums
- Is able to get members of Team Bp excited about telling their stories in articles, images, and video
- Has a passion for the written word; you love telling stories, and you’re able to show this off in your copywriting, editing, proofing and SEO
- Has experience in Google/Microsoft Ads, SEO, Web Design (advantageous, not necessary)
