Unique position with a key focus supporting children in residential care transition into foster care
- Ongoing support and guidance is provided with this role
- Full time position, 38 hours per week until October 2025 | based at our office in Lilydale

**The Position**:
Key responsibilities include: key focus on working as part of an exciting new initiative to support children in residential care transition into foster care placements, provide ongoing support to carers, carer recruitment, liaising with external agencies and professionals, participating in staff meetings, participating in regular supervision with Team Leader and attending Professional Development opportunities.

**What are we looking for?**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, welfare or related discipline and experience;
- Ability to support children, families and carers in the out of home care system with focus on empowering and protecting;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, effective communication, organisational, planning, and relationship management skills;
- Working within a collaborative care team approach with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including Child Protection to promote best practice outcomes for children, young people and families;
- Ability to effectively manage workloads through effective time management, with the ability to work under general supervision while being a team player in the support of others and the delivery of overall program outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to devise, utilise and implement a range of casework and assessment intervention strategies.
