Our strong focus is that our employees provide quality delivery of supports together with our process driven work to help our clients recognise our strong brand and associate our service with high achievements and professionalism. **Job Purpose** Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Billing and Compliance Officer is responsible for end-to-end business actions related to NDIS funding and billing for participants receiving supports from Care I Wish. This role seeks to ensure excellence in all aspects of financial compliance with a specific focus on NDIS funding streams. **Summary of Key Responsibilities** - Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy with a specific focus NDIS services and funded supports (SDA, SIL, Capacity Building) - Support key internal stakeholders (Service Delivery Managers) to ensure supports provided are listed and quoted appropriately in the service agreement in line with the participants plan. - Ensure compliance is maintained throughout all service agreements specific to external and government funding partnerships (NDIS, TAC, DFFH, MAC, DSOA) by regular review of documents used and remaining current with all billing legislation. - Designing, advising, and implementing best practice methods to maximise Participant NDIS plans, in order to mitigate overspend of a participant budget. - Remain current and advise the wider business of any legislative funding body changes and provide tangible process recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team to ensure continued success. - Prioritise aged receivables and ensure continued efforts to remain within the 30-90day manual claims process for billable services that have been processed incorrectly. - Maintain and manage the billing rejections of all NDIS participants and work to reduce the overall debtors for the organisation with a view to keeping billable rejections to a minimum of >5% - Prepare SIL quotes that meet the participants clinical recommendations and disability specific support needs. - Where appropriate, conduct regular reviews of SIL arrangements to ensure optimised quotes and billable supports. - Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related policies and procedures - Design, Document and deliver regular education sessions to key internal stakeholders to ensure competency in completing and reviewing service agreements, schedules of support and SIL arrangements. - Support the implementation of a new billing system that will optimise efficiency and reduce the manual labour hours associated with billing as the organisation seeks to scale and grow. **Summary of Key Attributes and Skills** - Communicating details of complex financial situations to non-finance in a way that they are able to understand - Sound understanding of the NDIS pricing framework and claiming processes - Sound decision-making skills based on accurate and timely analyses - Exceptional time management and able to solve problems - Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and support and manage staff at all levels - Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability - Professional written and oral communication skills - Confident to present results to an audience - Strategic thinking, planning and creative problem-solving skills - Ability to work under pressure - Ability to collaborate with upper management to organize, plan and achieve company financial goals **Financial Budgeting, Risk Management and Work Health and Safety** - Takes reasonable care to ensure own safety and health as well as the safety and health of their team.
